Overview
LIMBO is an eight-year experiment in reality, consciousness, and realisation.
Each participant begins in deep limbo, anchored to a solitary totem set in motion. Across six possible states, each subject moves towards awakening. For a time, all share the same equilibrium, the same unspoken belief that the dream will hold. But permanence is an illusion. Governed by entropy and unwritten code, the anchors begin to falter. One by one, they fall, severing their tether to limbo and returning their holders to the waking world.
Most will awaken in weeks. Some will take years. One will remain in limbo for eternity.
The final spinner is a paradox. In defying decay, it defies the very reality that governs the others. Its holder does not awaken, but remains suspended in the infinite quiet of the subconscious.
Statistics
Below is an estimate of progress over the course of 8 years. Most will awaken early as the sedation fades. Others will take years to discover the truth. One will remain lost, never to emerge from their own construct.
